Trail Crew Trek (TCT) is a 14-day co-ed program focused on conservation project facilitation and personal leadership development. Participants will spend the first week at a remote backcountry work site learning the hard skills needed to design and construct hiking trail. After the work week, the crew will depart from the work site for a one-week backcountry trek. (Copy from Philmont Scout Ranch)

Constructed with the ideals of the Order of the Arrow at its center, the OA Trail Crew focuses on personal growth through cheerful service and challenging outdoor experiences. The first week participants will build trail at a remote backcountry worksite and will learn skills needed to successfully trek through Philmont their second week at the ranch. Ranch Hands TrekRanch Hands is a program for Scouts and Venturers who have knowledge of horsemanship and horse care and want to expand their skills and experience. The Ranch Hand crew will work with the horse department staff, taking care of Philmont’s 300 horses and 80 burros, hauling hay, saddling, and performing other horse program tasks.
